Advancing the art of dressage throughout Maine
Welcome to SMDA!
The State of Maine Dressage Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and an independent Group Member Organization (GMO) of USDF. With over 100 members, our goal is to advance the sport of dressage in Maine by encouraging and educating those involved in the sport. We host four shows per year, one of which is a USDF Recognized show, and we affiliate with several local schooling shows. We offer a year-end awards program and a rider medals program to our members. SMDA places special emphasis on assisting newcomers to the sport.

Qualify for an educational grant by volunteering with SMDA
SMDA supports education and advancement of the sport by sponsoring horse shows and riding clinics. Because of the many other opportunities for education in areas related to equine activities, SMDA offers an educational grant program for proven volunteer members to further their education outside of the show ring!
